Contemplation
is a prayer of the heart- spiritually speaking we had two
hearts. 1. Physical 2. Spiritual.
Physical
heart- physical heart is pump made by God the weight of it
300. It has two parts one side purity blood and second pumps out it pumps 1500
lt. of blood. It is situated left of the middle in chest. Heart is marvelous.
Spiritual
heart- we have also spiritual heart. It is the centered of
self identify or spiritual dimension of our being. It is normally localize at
the Centre of our chest by us. When we refer to the cease of our being we refer
to the heart (spiritual spirit) it is my deepest being (self) in Indian tradition.
It is called love of the heart. Jesus showed his spiritual heart to Mary Margaret.
The heart of Jesus is a spiritual person of Jesus we are aware of physical
heart but not much with spiritual heart. We feel that our emotions come from
our spiritual heart. This spiritual heart has task not only to produce not
emotion but has deeper layer of self awareness. This can be opened to others,
especially to God. Our inner heart being spiritual can expand to embrace anyone
in this world. This heart specially made by God so that is may become God’s
dwelling place. When we entre deeper into our spiritual heart. We realize that I
am the beloved child of God. This is self realization. Jesus practiced this
very much and we have to realize our vacation. vocal prayer- Eg-our father in heaven. in and through this we see the inner depth of these word we go beyond the words to an awareness of God's presences deep within us. every vocal prayer contains contemplation. every word we utter should take us to God.
Meditative prayer- here we reflect on the words " our father" this picture. if the meditative is a painting a picture contemplative is looking at the complete picture.Contemplation prayer- contemplation prayer means going beyond symbolic thought, words, conviction and here we see to enter the reality that which is spiritual, true, enduring, over powering that is God himself Jesus and Holy Spirit. we early our mind can't see this reality because God is wholly other and we are matter but our spiritual heart can grasp this reality as a contemplatives. we are called to go loved but not thought by love. he may be gotten and Holden.
St. John Chrisostom says " contemplation is nothing else but a secret peaceful infusion of God which if admitted will set the soul on fire with the Spirit of love".
the real prayer is contemplative. in the sense that it leads us beyond words (vocal prayer) and beyond thoughts (meditative prayer) to the reality which words and thoughts paints all prayer must have a contemplative quality. Eg. Sadhna on breathing sensession contemplative prayer is Pentecost prayer here we see the reality of the Spirit of God, so contemplative prayer is Spiritual prayer.
